Really? Which characters are you talking about? And how many is "way too many"?Reanok said:
I wasn't being sarcastic I was concerned that way too many of my favorite characters have been killed off in book series I've read recently and frankly I am tired of it.

In J.m. Dillard's novel Resistance some of the crew members I like got killed by the borg. And I was sorry Nave was killed.I liked her character.

For what it's worth, I simply assumed the ship was still in the Gum Nebula. By "lee" could it mean that the Occultus Ora was in a region of the Gum that was somehow sheltered from the heat and radiation from Vela OB2?

I finished this book last night, bought it on a whim at the airport a few weeks back. I've not read much post nemisis fiction (in fact I believe this is my first) and I have to say I really really enjoyed it! I really liked the ending, very bittersweet I thought, the only thing that confused me a bit was trying to work out who all the people were in the final chapter, I think I got them all except for the two guys who were hiking.
