I'm halfway through reading SoD and I really like the story so far and the characters like Vale and Jaza among many others are getting more to do in this story helping solve the mystery of the giant thing orbiting the planet and time paradoxes. I really have liked the previous Titan novels and look forward to see how the next book 5 Titan inthe series will continue where this one leaves off at the end to be continued during the Destiny series :bolian:

In the the Sod book at the end of the book there's an announcement saying that the Voyages of the Starship Titan will continue in Star Trek Destiny series to be written by David Mack.I hope there will be more Titan books in 2009.

I'm just hoping Mr. David "Brutal Attack" Mack leaves enough of our people alive to return to their own series. You know how he is when he gets going. Blood and carnage everywhere. Dogs and cats, living together. It's, well it's damned scary is what it is.

i saw a leaked chapter of Destiny II. Titan takes three quantum torpedoes in the bridge. Whole senior staff wiped out.

and that's NOTHING compared to the fate of the Defiant!!!!

For me, half the fun of writing the Destiny trilogy is watching fans on various boards speculate as to what it's about or what's going to happen ... and so far, every prediction I've seen has been utterly wrong.

I don't know why, but I find that immensely gratifying. :)

Hiro Nakamura overshoots returning from the past, winds up on Star Trek and tries to convince everyone to save the glee club, save the Federation.

wait, no, that's Heroes Vol XXXIII...

Don't really care to speculate, just looking forward to it. Always preferred the 24th century to the 23rd, blasphemous as that may be. I don't think they would let Riker or Troi get wiped out, but it seems that any of the novel only characters are more than likely free game.

I've had a similar experience with speculations about Greater Than the Sum. I think there have been one or two speculations that were at least marginally close to the truth, though.

Just wait until it comes out that "Destiny" is actually the name of a magical unicorn, who's adopted by Worf and teaches him the true meaning of QiS'maS...

I'm interested in the Destiny miniseries I just hope David won't kill too many of the Titan's crew off. Riker & Troi are 2 of my favorite characters in the Titan book series.

Okay... nobody dies at all. In fact, Tasha Yar, Data, Jadzia and everybody killed during the Dominion War spring back to life. The Federation's economy plunges into chaos as a million dead vets start claiming disability pay.

Fictitiously yours, Trent Roman

This is funny... why? A lot of people like Riker and Troi. Who are your favorite two characters?

Because the poster was referring to Mr. Mack's past writing skills at Killing people. I think the poster was being sarcastic and it struck me as funny. The probability of Riker and Troi getting killed are zero, so the poster is trying to be funny.

While the specifics were unclear at first, it was pretty easy to guess that Riker and Troi's friction had something to do with the major decision made at the end of Orion's Hounds.

They made the decision to have a kid, right? I haven't read Orion's Hounds since it first came so my memories of it are a little fuzzy.

I wasn't being sarcastic I was concerned that way too many of my favorite characters have been killed off in book series I've read recently and frankly I am tired of it. I like Riker & Troi and didn't want them to have more tragic things happen to them or other characters I liked from the Titan crew killed off.
