Howdy!
What has the impact of "stoners" as fans of Star Trek?
I have never known anyone who smoked the ganja who did not like Star Trek. Probably the first fans of the series were children, teens and college kids (older people were watching "The Lucy Show" and that ilk).
An early red eyed fan of the original series was Al Gore, who loved TOS when it was first on.
The old, great TV show "Taxi" had Iggy, a burn out
I have been to Fantasy Cons and Star Trek conventions, and they are all full of potheads, partiers, "comic book guys" and yes, normal folks.
I think Trekkers who like to get baked either watch TOS or DS9.
