SW Choices of One.

Even if Allston did do a book on the Battle of Orinda, that wouldn't stop me whinging about getting a Imperial final campaign novel/s.

Well, this was your last chance for that.

That's overly dramatic. The line moving forward into the NJO, LOTF and now FOTJ hasn't prevented novels turning up in the "classic" era of Star Wars.. As long as Lucasbooks keeps putting out stuff and isn't afraid to jump back into previous periods there is always a chance.

And I'm including the new Plagueis (sp) novel in that - the pose on Palps just looks wrong.

It's probably modeled on the kind of thing we saw with Vader in TESB. Palpatine wasn't always the Master.

No that's not what I'm saying. The pose looks anatomically wrong, as though someone based it off a stiff-limbed action figure with simple joints, rather than how an actual human would kneel.

I'll read it, I guess. Zahn's my favorite EU author and I like the movie era stories, but I don't see why we couldn't get a book that didn't involve pro- and antagonists that can't die or even be seriously injured.

Why not have a story about Jade and some cool original Rebel scum, who can, you know, be put in jeopardy? Kind of like those Darth Maul books/comics where you know he's not going down, but everyone else is fair game (and mostly destined to be lightsabered).

Don't the Hand of Judgment essentially fill that role here?

Anyway, Allegiance was dull, and so I'm done with Zahn.

I was done with Zahn after Survivor's Quest. What a pointless waste of time
( and with such a low page count that they had to use a font size for the visually impaired ). Also, the drawing of Outbound Flight was the kind of thing you would expect to see as a doodle in a fifth grader's notebook, in which the parts crossed over by other parts weren't even erased. Hey guys, there's this newfangled invention they call a "computer", maybe you should check it out. WEAK.
