Given how mediocre the new episodes were, I can't really say I'm more than mildly interested. Maybe the change of format will shake things up a bit, but I won't get my hopes up.
Edit: that might come across as somewhat surly and bitter, which wasn't might intention.

Unfortunately, it's a film, the bane of non-Japanese fans of anime, which either means:
A.)We have to wait about 12-18 months for the DVD to come out after the films theatrical release date to see it in a decent fansub.
OR
B) Wait until a domestic company picks it up and puts it out, which would be even longer.
So, The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzimiya goes on my (impatiently) waiting list along with:
Cencoroll
Eden of the East: The King of Eden
Eden of the East: Paradise Lost
Evangelion 2.0: You Can [NOT] Advance
Evangelion 3.0
Evangelion 4.0
Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works

Now the Trigun Movie finally has a tentative release time so I'll have to add that to the list too.
What's weird is that Cencoroll has done like festivals or whatever already... so it's all subbed and ready to go, I imagine.
Well, anyway, I feel like this wasn't a big surprise. In fact, it probably explains why Endless Eight was so long. There's a small part of me that wishes they made Endless Eight the movie though, just to see Japanese people shit themselves with rage on the internet after they got out of the theatre.
