Survival Instinct - why did Ron Moore leave?

It is but I saw it on the NFL referring to Tom Brady and I just copied that.

Lets say Moore did stay on with some reservation from Kate Mulgrew, I'm sure there's things he could've done with other characters if he couldn't touch the GOAT (GoAT). I don't think Moore came onto VOY with cold feet, he must've had some story ideas he may had and probably used it on his other projects.

I think we saw the start of this in "Barge of the Dead" - a start at fleshing out more backstory (B'Elanna's mum) from the man who pretty much invented modern Klingons.

Obviously, I meant TARG B'Elanna.

The NFL isn't known for their English Grammar.

I'm sure he did, but he went on to do BSG reboot, and it worked wonders over there.

I'm fine with VOY being the way it is, Janeway is a Great Captain, she did accomplish ALOT of things while Voyager being her VERY first Captaincy post and thrusted into a CRAZY situation. The amount of things she accomplished and brought back is worth of legend and story IMO.

I'm sure new Captain's training in the future, post Janeway's return, will have a special course dedicated to "WTF do you do if you get stranded super far away and have to return home over a very long time period" since that became a realistic scenario.

I'm glad that the Voyager-J exists and that her Hologram is going to be used to train kids in Star Trek: Prodigy.

I'm sure you're jazzed to see that once it comes out.

Your GoAT, back in action in some form, helping out the kids =D.

I do love the USS ProtoStar, I just dislike the JJ-verse Nacelles on them. Other than that, it's a beautiful little ship that reminds me of Harry Kim's Rhode Island, but sleeker.

You meant 'grammar', right? ;)

It was partially his story and Bryan Fuller, it's possible Fuller had to finish the teleplay because of Moore's departure but I'm not sure.

I wasn't a fan of BSG reboot; at the time I found the series very sexually based, but I was too young to watch, and if I care to, should watch it again.

GOAT Janeway - I think you haven't read my other comments about why I call her that. I use the title as a snide towards the character; she's only great because of the constant shifting of the goal posts to prevent any sort internal conflict which exposes a chink in one's armor. Something I saw in Kirk in TWOK, Picard in TNG, and Sisko on DS9, fallible moments where these leaders faced and had to overcome.

Not interested in the new kids show and definitely because the GOAT is involved in it. I'd rather watch human characters who had moments of making some interesting judgement calls and didn't fall in their way, than an unerring super character who can't do no wrong. Just doesn't interests me, sorry.

A Grotesquely Over-Acted Type? I'll buy that ;)

But then that's one for the Discovery forum!
LOL! DISCO is creating in their own playpen, and whatever the showrunners are doing has a time limit. I choose to not watch it and like other series before it which I didn't like, ENT, I simply ignore it and move on to the next incarnation.

I couldn't stand and still can't stand NuBSG. By accident I happened to watch a few episodes of the original series and fount it better.

As for Janeway, I find her a victim of bad writing, just like so much else considering Voyager.

As for Disco and what's going on now, well we live in the doom-and-gloom decade which even affects Star Trek. When NCIS is gone (and it will be if Gibbs leaves), then I unplug my TV and stick to my collection of DVD movies and series from better times.

There's bad writing in many TV series, the characters should have some dimensions where I can have some investment in the ordeal the series is attempting to establish. Having an infallible character in a scenario where such a character shouldn't be is counter productive of the material the showrunners were - sort of - conveying. I could root for Elizabeth Janeway who was going through the trials of becoming a Captain and having a tough and harsh learning curve than the G.O.A.T. who HAD to be "strong" for the feminists' cause. Boring. Ronald D. Moore didn't have a chance with the simps inside the Voyager Writers Room.

I love the new BSG, but totally agree on Trek stooping to everyone else's level.

For two generations it was the show that wasn't ashamed to portray a better version of us, even if the world around it didn't feel like that at all. It was a wonderful way to escape and hope for something better.

Now it wants to tell us, like other shows, that there's no such thing as a hero and they're all broken and flawed people. A sad way to go. There's still a niche for telling positive stories and I'm distraught that Trek has vacated that ground.

I admit, now we need an alternate universe where their Voyager is crewed by evolved, sentient goats.

Which version of the G.O.A.T. would be necessary? Maybe each version from seasons 1 - 7 and have Admiral Janeway from END GAME as the lead while Nemesis Janeway is the 1st officer.

Nemesis as in the episode?

The movie Star Trek: Nemesis, the Great One was Admiral and she gave Picard a directive in the movie; it was stupid IMO having a Federation ship enter in Romulan territory instead of a neutral site. I'm sure the Janeway fans will disagree.

Oh that one!

Can we have a ship of myotonic goats?

I for one am all up for them immediately fainting when fired at.
