Surely something good happened to you today

Good news-- there might be help for my severe plantar fascitis. After months of home PT, I finally got to see the specialist -- instead of his assistants. He can perform the surgery in the office, saving me a TON. Now I just have to wait for insurance to (hopefully ) approve it.

*fingers crossed*

With insurance, it might be 400/500 dollars. Without insurance approval, it would be between 4 to 8 thousand.

Got fingers crossed for you here, too.

Thanks! The only bad part is that I will have to wear a boot-cast for 3 solid months. In the Texas heat. Good times.

After 4 weeks of fairly constantly being away or having visitors, I have shut the front door behind the last visitor, firmly closed the spare room door, poured a glass of wine and am looking forward to not having to leap from the bed at dawn tomorrow and not having to cook. The cleaning and washing can wait, and it's quiet.

Ah bliss...

Surgery on my foot went well. Doctor had written the wrong instructions---cast will be on for 3 WEEKS, but he had accidently written MONTHS. Phew! What's really cool is that I have two casts--one for daytime and one for sleeping. MAN, I wish I'd had that when I broke my foot 20 years ago. Having the lighter cast for sleeping is great.
