Although I would prefer less plastic wherever possible, I was glad of it when the jar of chocolate spread fell off the kitchen counter and bounced off my foot. Had it been glass I’d probably have a hefty bruise forming now.

It's Independence Day in America. I am reminded of what impact we can have on the next generation, when we have vision. I am reminded that fighting the good fight is necessary for our survival. Imagine if Washington had laid down or Normandy was never attempted? Look at what we have done? I am still hopeful of world peace, still feeling the urge to survive climate change, still needing social justice, and a more perfect union, for all. I am emboldened by the force of their example, and the legacy we must preserve. We cannot go back to the dark days of repression and force. We must remain a beacon of freedom. Happy Birthday, America! Thank you!
