Spoilers Supervisors bosses

valkyrie013

Rear Admiral
Rear Admiral
So, as of Picard S2 last episode, with the return of Wesley Crusher, we find out that that the Agents and supervisors are commanded by the Travelers.

Let's see if it mostly lines up.
Gary seven says that humans were taken from 4000 years ago and raised and "perfected" (probably peak human condition, fend off a nerve pinch) by a group of aliens, In the books the bosses were called the Aegis.
These bosses sent out agents and supervisors to planets to help them along there "correct" path.

Now with the revel that the travelers are the bosses, there are a few raised eyebrows not completely lining up but overall does work.
Tau Alpha C is quite far away, probably not known in the 23rd century . and if they can beam through time, then even if the planet has been visited by the 24th century, doesn't mean it isn't there home base.

Any thoughts in the subject? Does it work for you that the travelers are the mysterious bosses? Line up with canon? Thoughts?

Surely the question is are all natives of Tau Alpha C travellers or did we just happen to see a member of that species who was recruited to be a traveller? Just like we saw him recruit Wesley.

What extremely little we know of the Traveler from dialogue doesn't really seem to line up with the idea of controlling events, but maybe they got bored of just wandering around and exploring.

Didn't Gary say he's from the 20th century? I thought he was taken to the future, trained there, then sent back
Never says he was taken to the future.
SEVEN: Careful, Isis. All right. Captain Kirk. My name is Gary Seven. I am a human being from the twentieth century. I was on my way
KIRK: Humans of the twentieth century do not go beaming around the galaxy, Mister Seven.
SEVEN: I've been living on another planet far more advanced. I was beaming to Earth when you intercepted me.
KIRK: The location of that planet?
SEVEN: They wish their existence kept secret. Even in your time, it will remain unknown.
SCOTT: It's impossible to hide a whole planet.
SEVEN: Impossible for you, not for them. Captain Kirk, I am of this time period. You are not. You interfere with me with what I have to do there, and you'll change history. You'll destroy the Earth and probably yourselves, too.
and later
SEVEN: Computer, I am a class one supervisor. You are ordered to override previous instructions and answer my questions.
COMPUTER: I am a Beta Five computer capable of analytical decisions. Please confirm identity as supervisor by describing nature of agents and mission here.
SEVEN: Computer, I caution you. I have little love for Beta Five snobbery. Override. All right. Agents are male and female, descendants of human ancestors taken from Earth approximately six thousand years ago. They're the product of generations of training for this mission. Problem. Earth technology and science have progressed faster than political and social knowledge. Purpose of mission. To prevent Earth's civilisation from destroying itself before it can mature into a peaceful society.
I assume like the agents, Gary's ancestors were humans taken fromEarth. So while he is a Twentieth Century human, he's not from Earth.

I do not find it credible that Travelers are in charge of all the Aegis agents. Unless Wesley was recruited buy the Aegis.
