Supernatural...who here is a fan? Why?

I just started the show myself and went through season one in a two day bender. Just started season two.

Folk tales and interesting spins on horror classics. Witty writing. Darkness and nobility existing alongside. Appealing characters. Classic rock, muscle cars, small towns and backroads of America (which I know well).

I'm digging this blue collar X-Files.

You're in for a treat. It gets only better from there. I like it because the characters resonate with me. Great acting, very witty, occasionally breaks your heart. You could say I'm a fan. ;)

I am very much a fan. In fact it is probably my favourite TV show of all time. Seasons 4 and 5 are fantastic.

I loved Supernatural until the end of season 5. Season 6 I'm not loving, except for a couple of episodes that have featured Bobby. It's a great show. I like its self-deprecating humour and pretty leads, too. :)

There'll be another pretty lead in about 20 years. Supernatural: The Next Generation. Jared and his wife Genevieve will be officially reproducing around the end of March 2012. ;) Should have gorgeous hair from either side of the family. :D

I just got into it in Season 4/5 and I just finished re-watching all the old seasons. Season 1 was pretty forgettable but it improves in Season 2, and Season 3-5 is really good. I'm actually really into the show now! What I love about it is all the comedy that they fit into such a dark show (of course that doesn't happen until Season 2-3).

I'm a fan too, although not quite feeling this season and feel like they've been retreading a lot of themes since Kripke left. I will try to be optimistic though.

I'm a fan. There's lots to like about the show but if you want to know the #1 thing that keeps me hooked, it's Jensen Ackles. He's funny, and it's not just the dialogue. He can crack me up with his facial expressions.

A great show with some great characters and good story arcs. You're gonna be in for a treat if you loved Season 1. Seasons 2-5 are leaps and bounds better.

It's one of my favourite shows, the first few episodes of season six were blah, I really didn't like certain new characters showing up out of nowhere, season 7 is pretty good so far.

I still love the show but I think they should wrap it up this year and I hope Sam and Dean don't get a happy ending, that would be lame. The writer's can't kill them off again, so I want Bobby dead and Sam completely crazy, dangerous and locked up. Dean will continue hunting monsters, but is completely fucked up and alone.
What I don't want is the show to do one these "Solve the current crisis, drive into the sunset and imply they're having more of the same adventures, except we're no longer watching" endings also known as the "works as a season or series finale" ending.

I dunno. It worked for both Hercules and Xena.

This is a show where I don't want a tragic ending. There's been so much pain along the way, I want a happy/funny ending.

I guess it's fine if they die, but have the final episode with Sam and Dean and Bobby now in heaven and finding out they have to stop problems in heaven. But the car has to be around. I mean, it's heaven. The car has to be there.

Uhm, Xena died and Gabrielle took over as the heroine, she was with Gabrielle as a spirit, but definitely dead.

But I'm not saying a sunset ending wouldn't work for Supernatural, I just don't want it. I want a depressing ending, not one that leaves everything like it was before. I want Sam locked away forever and Dean being bitter and lonely. Their lives have become worse and worse since the show started, it would be fitting if everything is even more shitty in the end and they lose each other because Dean has to run from the FBI again.
Every character on every show ever should be grateful I'm not a writer, I always want them to suffer.

Which, you'll recall, was the point ... Heroes riding off into the sunset, carrying on with their adventures.

Specific to Xena, how many times had she (or Gabby) died in the series, only to be brought back eventually? Repeatedly. Yes, Gabby has the Chakram - for now. Xena's dead - for now. But they're still out there, having adventures, and when either Ares or Dite, or the Fates get bored, they'll bring her back. Or she'll escape Tartarus or wherever her spirit when this time, and it'll be two girls fighting bad guys all over again.

I just saw the ep Tall Tales from S2. It reminded me of the X-Files ep, "Jose Chung's From Outer Space", in both it's comedic air and it's shifting in character perspectives.

It was simply a gem.

I love Supernatural, have done since the first episode. Still enjoy it, but the show does have its ups and downs. I do think season 5 would have been the perfect end if they'd have let it end.

Im a big fan! Caught it by accident about 2 years ago by then they where already in S4 so went and bought the DVD's and caught up in a few weeks.
