Supernatural and the fake IDs

I've just immersed myself in the Supernatural universe. I never gave this show a shot because I always thought it would be a chick's series (I nearly died laughing when Dean said "no chick's flick moment!). Huge error! A series that plays two AC/DC tracks in ONE episode cannot be bad!
So as the series goes on (from my point of view, of course) I've noticed a lot of fake IDs (such as Dr James Hetfield!).
Is there a website that compiles every fake ID taken by the Winchester brothers?

You could try supernatural.tv or linking off that site. There are many links. It's not a bad series at all. Glad you discovered it.

I have to admit to having never given this show a chance.

To me the guy in it will always be "Dean from Gilmore Girls".

Do you have to watch it from the beginning, or can you just watch any old episode or season? It's been on for like 100 years now, right?

I started watching it at the very beginning of Season 4 and had no trouble catching on. They give a decent recap of important parts from the past at the beginning of every episode, and as long as you know the general premise there's zero problem keeping up.

In fact, I only started watching the earlier seasons a few weeks ago. And despite knowing where the story is now, the earlier episodes are still great fun to watch.

That said, Season Five may not be as newbie-friendly as Four was. It starts off very heavy-handedly with the overall plot arc and if you missed most of the story about it, you'll likely be ???.

I recommend "acquiring" the first episode anyway you can to give it a look. Like most premieres it wasn't quite as good as it is now, you get a pretty good idea of what the show is going to be like. It's very character-oriented and most of the fun is watching Dean and Sam interact with the world around them. The villian of the week is usually just filler for the real stuff. :)

I watched the first 10 episodes last week. It's a pretty decent series. I don't know if I like it enough to keep actively watching though.

What an unfortunate decision.

"Dean" from Gilmore Girls today. Also known as Sam Winchester

Starbreaker, the first 10 episodes are easily the weakest of the series. It really, really takes off in season two. It took a huge leap in quality during the second season. Avoid the season 1 episode "Route 666" like the plague. I don't know what the writers were smoking, but it wasn't cigarettes.

Is Route 666 the one with the killer pick up?

Just who keeps making all these fake id's? Were do they get all the other clothes they use? They are not in the back seat or trunk of the car. Maybe they just wear multiple layers of clothing and only keep the one they use on top. Never the less I enjoy the series quite a bit and season 2-4 were quite good.

Besides the aliases list I have another quick question.

Is this the same motel room the redress over and over?

That's the eppy that aired the night of the SOTU with no other network competition. The worst episode of Supernatural ever produced. :scream: The episode before, Faith, was outstanding. They should have flipped the order. Idiots. Route 666 is the highest rated eppy of SPN to date, including the pilot, and it gained it no new viewers because the episode sucked so much. That chick who played Dean's old girlfriend was a horrible actress and she was written terribly to boot.

I think you guys are being a little too critical.

While Route 666 was hardly a fantastic episode, you make it sound like it was the worst episode of any show ever produced in the annals of time. It wasn't nearly that bad! There were some fun parts to it (like how they managed to take out the monster of the week), and there were still some decent to good character moments.

It may have been Supernatural's worst episode to date, it's still not a God-awful episode. It'd be rated as average to decent compared to a lot of genre shows!

Well of course it's better than many other genre shows. :) Still, I thought the actress just sucked rocks. Alona Tal's Jo is soooooo much better. Nicki Aycox as Meg was awesome.

Always good to see more people jumping aboard "Supernatural".

I pretty much ignored it without consideration until a random episode from season 3 caught my eye are brought the series back to my attention.

Been a loyal fan ever since.

I mean... how can you not love a Fantasy/Horror series that approaches its subject matter authentically and realistically, yet can still make fun of itself on a weekly basis.

Eye of the Tiger... Eye of the (freaking) Tiger!

The "Eye of the Tiger" outtake is pure awesome. I was crying with laughter when I saw it.
