New episode tonight, good people. :techman: Advance word is good. As usual, I'm stuck at work. Conference coming into town tomorrow and as usual my worthless boss has left it to me. Some day...some day....I'll have that useless piece of crap's job. :klingon:

Enjoy the episode.

No responses. Did everyone go out tonight? Forget it was coming back so early? Probably so.

Bobby....... :( :( And in the end.....it's the brothers against the world. Bittersweet. Still, an empty beer bottle is telling.

I thought this episode was decent. Not great. But decent.

I suspect Bobby has become a ghost and he sucked up the liquor in Dean's beer bottle to keep him from drinking anymore so his mind stays focused. Next episode, we may get our first appearance of Ghost Bobby.

I was waiting for Sam to have a Lucifer hallucination-involved meltdown due to grief over Bobby's death. Maybe it'll still happen or maybe it'll won't. They seem set on making Sam mostly stable as a person since what happened in Hello, Cruel World. I'm torn between liking this Sam and being frustrated with the lack of major consequences from the fall of the wall in his head.

Dean is back to his guilt-tripping ways which was expected after Bobby's death. I like how Frank pointed out to him that he needs to learn to keep his emotions from messing with his focus and be a professional or he'll run himself into the ground. I found the bit about Frank's family very revealing of his character.

I understand why Dean told the hunter and the daughter it's about time for them to quit but I doubt they'll be able to do it fully before being thrust back into the hunting life.

I found the hunter's daughter to be rather annoying for most of the episode because I anticipated that old cliche where the kid decides to help after being told not to and then fubars everything up so I was pleasantly surprised when she knifed that monster and basically saved everyone's bacon. Then I liked her enough to maybe want to see her again.

Damn, Bobby's dead. I pretty much knew it going in but thought that there was a chance he was still alive but alas he's not. Now Sam and Dean are totally on their own. No more goingto Bobby and getting info. They need to get it on their own mostly now. They could use Frank but a) they gotta pay him and b) he's just not family.

When we first met Frank I found him kind of annoying but liked him here, he provided some much needed humor. He's one strange little man though.

Pretty good episode, it was nice to have the monster of the week back and I also look forward to ghost Bobby.

Frank is ok but really I just think of Melvin Frohike when I see him.

I thought it was fairly decent. I liked the Frank/Dean dynamic and liked that the kid was the one who saved them. There was a lot going on in this episode and most of it was set-up for things to come.

I wonder how much of "ghost-Bobby" we will get to see in the next episode. *sigh* I miss Bobby. :(

Nothing I enjoy more than getting up at 6 a.m. to get ready for a sales pitch for a bunch of businessmen who make Don Draper seem forward thinking. Gods, my boss is a lazy ass. :scream:

I enjoyed the Dean/Frank dynamic as well. Oh yeah, Bobby is still around. No doubt about it. I'm surprised mswood hasn't weighed in since he thought that killing Bobby was something they wouldn't have the guts to do. Somehow the boys are going to have to convince Bobby to "move on" before his spirit goes nuts. He can't let go of them. It's sad. :( However, I'll be shocked if we don't see Jim Beaver again in ghostly form before season's end. Just because Bobby's no longer corporeal doesn't mean that Beaver's been fired.

I hope we see Ghost Bobby soon. And a lot. Bobby won't go crazy being a ghost. He's made of sterner stuff. Even the Reaper admired him.

I liked this week's monsters (one of them was Red Riding Hood from Once Upon A Time) and I liked Frank. Especially good was the scene where he revealed his background; that was a dash of cold water on Dean's self pity.

Sorry I have the flu, and wasn't in the best shape when I watched the episode.

Loves: Opening scene with the three weeks change and the closing scene with Dean's face. Both were what I turn into SPN for.

Really Liked: Dean pushing the family to give up the hunting. Sam will never give up the hunting now due to what his actions have caused. Just never going to happen (even if they were intended on doing good). And I am so glad they had Dean pushing this issue and not Sam (Who really does understand better then most hunters, as he did get out for a while by choice).

Liked: Dean and Frank. I wasn't very impressed with Frank the first time (a part of that was that episode I thought should have been played much more serious, much more). It should have been an awesome Great seriously Dark episode, instead it was a really good, over the top we aren't taking things very serious episode. I hate when an episode could have been Great, and isn't, even when its still good. But here Frank was a little more serious and not quite so over the top, still nuts. But a little more beliveably nuts. How are the guys paying for Frank's help though...?

Dislikes MOTW: Booorrrrriiiiinnnnnggggggggg. I know its a budget issues (and a time to produce issue and one that's been around almost from the very first episode. But its so boorrriinngggg. Especially in creatures that are one offs.

Neutral: Ghost Bobby. On the surface I hate it. Because its basically them not really having the balls to remove the character from the show. And again I love Jim Beaver. Simply put one of the finest additions to the show. But I am willing to give the writers a bit to prove me wrong. For them to show me that a Ghost Bobby isn't a terrible thing.

Over all a C+/ maybe B- (will have to rewatch when I am fully better to really judge).
