Welcome back, good people. It's been a hell of a triple digit summer here in Oklahoma City. I can't believe I made it through alive with malfunctioning AC in my car all summer long.

Time for Supernatural again. :) Keep this thread on page one between now and tomorrow, gents and ladies. As for me, my business meeting in Lake Forest, IL, has been changed to Saturday morning. :wah: Not only will I be offline, I won't even get to watch tomorrow. I have to fly into Chicago tomorrow afternoon and drive into Lake Forest. But....the hotel needs to book these groups so off I go. It's how I stay employed. Having to pay bills is sure cutting into my leisure time, dammit.:angryrazz:

Looks to be a good eppy, too.

I can't wait. Here's to Castiel getting gutted like a dead fish!

I get to watch before Dorian........he,he

I will be sure to blame you for the terrible ratings when they come in. Seriously the CW is in the toilet this years drop are the largest year to year declines in the netlets history.

They are not planning this as a finale season, at all. Of course if the ratings totally tank (which they would really have to based on the across the board drops for the CW) it could be.

They've certainly been talking about another season, but it's not exactly written in stone.

I'm looking forward to the premiere, but I fear what will become of Castiel. :(

Maybe Castiel will discover what it's like to be Lucy and get sent directly to Hell!

The only way I see the show ending is if Jared and Jensen decide not to come back for new seasons. This show has always done decently in the ratings. The CW can't afford to lose any shows like that right now.

Damn, I'm not sure if I'm going to able to watch tonight. My sister is coming over, and I forgot about the fact that there was a bunch of stuff I wanted to watch tonight, including Supernatural.

I knew the Cas situation would be more complicated to resolve. Are the Leviathans going to be the Big Bad of the season? Are they gigantic sea monsters according to myth or something else?

It depends on what source you go by. That's the most common description, but basically they're sort of like the personification of chaos that existed before the creation of the universe.

I feel worry for Dean who has been through more crap than any human being on Earth should go. I'm hearing that Episode 4 at least begins his journey of resolving his issues.

Last season's finale was decent but not nearly as interesting as it needed to be to make up for a lacklustre season--the one intriguing bit was the cliffhanger which was resolved abruptly here.

Overall this premiere was fair but hardly a major event season premieres used to be. It was mainly the same old familiar and tired hodge podge of SN staples they have developed and run into the ground over six seasons--the brother dynamic which seems to be stuck in a loop of the same kind of angst/distrust for what seems like seasons, a macguffin ritual that brings Death back to the show a substantual change in Cas undone by the end of the hour like Trek would often do in their finales/premieres. Cas as God and his plans for the world seemed like an intriguing and epic idea that was cut too short within just one hour to make way for body possessors. However, I braced myself for this possibility given the limited budget and scope the series has always had even when dealing with grand ideas==season five's Apocalypse comes to mind as another.

The Leviatians--seemingly this season's bad guys--don't interest me in the slightest and the whole "head games" bit with Sam just seems tired and done so often on tv it has become trite where a character's internal struggles as depicted with hallucinations and within the character's head on familiar sets.

A very mediocre and empty hour after you digest it. It certain is no "In My Time of Dying" or "Lazarus Rising". C.

If Jared and Jensen left, next season The CW would introduce Justin Hartley and Colin Egglesfield as Coy and Vance Winchester. :p
