News Superman & Lois Ordered to Series at The CW

We haven't seen preCrisis Earth Prime.

We don't know what happened

Earth Primes history is not identical to Earth Ones history.

Whatever justication the non paragon heroes had to stay out of freeland, vanished when the paragon heroes murdered the non Paragon heroes.

The Kryptonians need to stay out of human on human wars?

Adolf wouldn't have been an exception untill they found out about the concentration camps.

I don't think there was an Earth Prime before Crisis.

Not in the Arrowverse, no. It's the name for the new universe that's the merger of Earth-1, Earth-38, and Earth-BL. It's the Voltron (or Giant Beebo) of universes.

In the comics, Earth Prime is our world, in which the DC Universe is merely the stuff of comic books. Or at least, it's the in-comics representation of a world just like ours.

And I guess it's officially the CWverse now?!

Maybe its called CWverse now instead of Arrowverse because of the inclusion of Stargirl and the characters on Earth Prime are as yet unaware there's still a multiverse, thus limiting the prospects of a crossover the way Supergirl did? I don't know.

That's overthinking it. They probably just don't want to confuse people by keeping "Arrow" in the name after Arrow has ended.

Besides, it's just a commercial. That's just what the ad agency people who made the commercial and the network execs who approved it decided to call it. That may have nothing to do with what the actual makers of the shows call it. It's certainly not motivated by in-story considerations. Commercials exist to sell stuff, period. This was a commercial on The CW, to try to encourage people to watch The CW, so naturally they want to emphasize their name.

I think I read or heard this isn't the first time they've done this and called it that, though I personally am unaware of it.

Yeah, it's the second time I've heard it. But it's still coming from the network and its promotions. It can't be attributed to the Berlanti people themselves at this point, not until we hear it directly from them. You're using the pronoun "they," but it's not a single monolithic "they" doing everything. There are several "they"s -- Berlanti Productions, The CW execs, the ad agency making the promos, etc.

I'm pretty sure I've seen members of the shows' production teams still refer to them as the Arrowverse in recent interviews.

So is it still the CWverse if you watch the episodes on Blu Ray or Netflix? Also if it's the CWverse then it means Supernatural is part of the canon but it's also a tv show in the universe so we are getting into some messy canon issues. Also the CW use to be UPN, sort of which means Star Trek Enterprise and Voyager are canon but none of the other Trek shows. Also Supergirl use to be on CBS which means everything on CBS has also been part of the universe meaning someday when JAG comes back The Flash can help Harm and Sara solve the case of the missing sailor who ran afoul of some international jewel thieves smuggling blood diamonds in secret compartments aboard the missing Sailor's aircraft carrier he was stationed on.

Well it might mean Archie can show up. Smallville vs Riverdale in High School football. An epic crossover with Superman and Lois.

No, it means they HAVE to broadcast the Smallville vs Riverdale games because not doing so wouldn't be logical. Aunt Zelda and Uncle Gambi would make such a cute couple.

I still think it would've been hilarious if, in the week Crisis Parts 1-3 were broadcast, the non-DC shows on The CW had featured stormy red skies without any explanation.
I would have added 'His Dark Materials' which was being broadcast on the BBC at the time to that :).
