The Stranger, eh? :shifty:

Probably not of the Phantom variety, if that's what you're thinking. The character description calls him "a mysterious villain dedicated to proving that the world does not need Superman to protect it." The epithet is probably to conceal his real identity.

You guys have better minds than me, maybe because I always read Marvel and am not so familar with DC other than mixed media, so you didn't have bad thoughts. I kind of thought it had unfortunate implications, especially with the way the pictures are laid out.

There are rumors that
The Stranger is a Multiversal version of Lex Luthor.

I hope not. That's not something I'm interested in really. I was quite happy that
Supergirl did a great take on Luthor and that he'll most certainly will be a part of season 6 to a degree. But I don't need the a new version of Luthor for Superman. Just my two cents.

I'm sorry, I don't follow. What implications does the layout or the epithet suggest to you?

I'm glad no one follows really. I know it's just the way the characters are laid out but you have a top row of white guys followed by a row of brown guys and finally a black guy who is "the stranger". Like I say, please don't take this too far, it was just something that struck me.

I only see one "brown guy" in the bottom row, and he's playing a character named Cushing. Besides, surely the Arrowverse has more than adequately proven over the past 8 years that it isn't guilty of racial stereotyping or exclusion.

Sorry, I didn't google everyone. We're making mountains out of molehills, it was just something that occurred to me, as I said I don't think it's a big deal or even necessarily a thing at all, it was just what flashed in my head looking at that picture. I'm GLAD this isn't a thing.
