Summer TV schedule

Temis the Vorta

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
Summer Cable TV premieres.

and

Summer Broadcast TV premieres.

For me:

June 20
The Gates (ABC), 10 p.m.

June 24
Futurama (Comedy Central), 10 p.m. :D :D :D

July 13
Covert Affairs (USA), 10 p.m.

Aug. 1
Rubicon (AMC)

That last one, I'm checking out just because it's on AMC. It sounds like they're stealing the premise to The Event before NBC gets a chance to air it:

"Rubicon" is a conspiracy thriller set in a NYC-based government intelligence agency, API, where nothing is what it seems. The series focuses on a beleaguered analyst, Will Travers, who, faced with a shocking tragedy, begins to uncover clues that point to a complex and sinister conspiracy.

It's not a premiere, but June 17 ABC will air the final two episodes of "Better Off Ted" if the NBA finals don't go to game 7. Here's to hoping one city's sporting collective trounces the other city's sporting collective in fewer than 7 games. :D

Well, since most of the shows I watch in the Fall season have been canceled, summer is all I have left!

:(

Warehouse 13
Eureka
Futurama

I'll give Haven and Rubicon a try.

July 9 - Haven, Season 1

Really looking forward to that one!

I also plan to give Mad Men one last shot before bailing altogether. It just hasn't held my interest...

Summer TV is shaping up to be surprisingly busy.

Love Itzin's casting, he was killing it this season in 24. I'm really liking everything I hear from Covert Affairs - CIA setting is like a blank canvas too for tons of stories.

Wow, this one is sure flying under the radar: Persons Unknown. I'd heard it was in development months ago, then zilch. A "miniseries" with no publicity, huh? Sounds like a failed series that even NBC isn't desperate enough to tout.

Trailer one.

Trailer two.

Persons Unknown (NBC)
Premieres June 7
Seven strangers are basically kidnapped thrown into a deserted area and forced to piece together a puzzle to get freed from their environment, while security cameras keep a watchful eye.

Must see Burn Notice and The Closer. Will eagerly try out Scoundrels, The Gates and Rubicon. Will give Warehouse 13 another shot, as well as Haven.

The casting on Covert Affairs doesn't seem that impressive to me.

It helps if you like attractive male actors. ;)

However, I am a bit concerned with Piper Perabo in the lead...can she really carry a series? Maybe they can arrange for it to be more of an ensemble effort.

Wipeout is coming back! Wipeout is coming back!!!!!!!

I love that show. Although, it seems to be one of those shows that only I am really obsessed with. Others can take it or leave it. But I am absolutely transfixed by elaborate obstacle courses.

This past week's 2-hour preview episode with the blind date couples was pretty good. There's a lot more paint & gunk on the show now. But mostly, it was awesome seeing the "power couple" both make it all the way across the Big Balls. I've seen very few people ever do that, and most of them have been a lot taller than this couple.

BTW, has ANYONE ever made it all the way across the Sucker Punch?

I believe the show is back regularly starting June 22!

"Good night and big balls."
