On a side note, shouldnt this also be headed with 'possible spoilers'?

due to the fact that some people may come in here and find out something about Vulcan they dont want to know until next friday.

Just a thought.

Hm, it's a shot from one of the trailers, so I thought it was fair game. I never really read that it was Vulcan. I just think it really looks like Vulcan, which is why I always assumed it was. Honestly, I didn't see that as a spoiler. If I did I would not have used it in the first place.

That one looks really cool and all, but what's the point of a Star Trek XI avatar contest if you're using images from TOS for the avatar?

I was going with the fact that Nimoy is in the movie (like Klingon Empire said) and the contest was non-specific Vulcan, but I'll change it if so desired.

Yes, you guys are right. I get that Leonard Nimoy is going to be in this movie. And I get that this is why you are showing him in your avatar, Carpe. Believe me, I didn't mean to sound picky or snarky. Honestly, I'm just curious what exactly the difference of this contest to the TOS avatar contest is, when showing imagery of the new movie isn't a prerequisite.

But I know that this is only a game. I do this just for fun. I don't want to take this whole thing too seriously. As I said, I'm just curious.

To be honest, I didn't give much thought to the board (except Nimoy in the movie and he's a Vulcan - Well, not really a Vulcan - There are no Vulcans - At least not real Vulcans - I'm rambling). In hindsight I guess my avatar including just Nimoy isn't quite in the spirit. And to be even more truthful, it's an old avatar I'm recycling. Give me some time and I'll come up with something different, more in line with STXI.
