STV = SGU?

SGU only worked (as well as it did, which was only 2 seasons) because they removed a lot of stuff from the "Lost Ship" concept that would have made it too unworkable. They don't need anyone to really run the ship because of it's auto-repair mode.

Also, the Destiny was this massive thing that could house thousands upon thousands. They can do episodes simply exploring the ship and learning its secrets, while VOY couldn't because it was a tiny scout ship.

They also had contact with Earth from the start, another advantage.

I hated that they had contact with earth. I could easily watch an SG:U ep where they used the stones to go back and have drama with their loved ones on earth and say "why couldn't SG:U be more like Voyager?"

But it was Hilarious when Lou Diamond Phillips pretended to be Young, and frakked Young's wife.

Rape sure, but so fricking incredibly funny.

(it was also rape when Young drove Lou Diamond Phillips into his wife's vagina a considerable amount of times. So quid pro quo.)

One thing I never got was why the people using those bodies back on Earth felt it was okay to do things in those bodies (like have sex and stuff) that I'm sure the real owners of those bodies hadn't consented to.

Remember how right after 911, if a NY City Fire fighter asked to Sthup your wife, it wasn't a big deal?

"That".

Yeah they signed contracts. Probably thought it was hot, maybe there was a secret clause not shown that said "but you must video it".
