Stupid things I hate

The Milwaukee airport.

Specifically, I hate it because if there is even the slighest hint of anything even remotely approaching bad weather in the city you are flying to, they will delay your flight for hours if they feel like it. :brickwall: It's why I don't fly Midwest anymore.

I'll bet you any money it's better than Winnipeg International. The five hours I spent there waiting for WestJet's connection to Toronto were some of the dullest of my life.

I also hate the OP's scenario of having to carry my coat home if it's cool when I leave in the morning. It's especially annoying on a crowded bus.

I hate hot, sticky weather, which is why I haven't minded this relatively cool summer.

I hate doing laundry. The entire process just sucks. :p

At least you only spent five hours there. I spent TEN hours in Milwaukee waiting to change planes for my flight to Newark. :brickwall:

This was before I discovered the wonders of nonstop flights from Omaha to Newark (on Continental). :)

I hate it when when Tasmania gets left off "the map".

For example when the Olympic Games were on the medalists were given posies of flowers during the medal ceremony. Now these posies had the state flowers of every Australian state - except Tasmania. When it was pointed at that Tasmania's state flower, The Blue Gum, wasn't in the posy, the organisers said they left it out because they didn't want to confuse the athletes.

Also when the natial TV statiosn run contests they aften say that there will be a prize for each state. However this often means there will be a prize for ecvery state except Tasmania.

I hate making a phone call about a bill or something and then get a stupid recording instead of an actual person. Annoys the hell outta me!

I hate it when a computer gets a virus and starts acting really strange..doing stuff on its own and such(which reminds me..gotta get anti-virus software ASAP for the blasted thing!) and then restarting itself.

I hate tailgaters! And rubberneckers!

A particular annoyance of late is 'moron catcher' recordings for companies, services, etc.
"If you are calling with concerns about the loss of gas supply to such-and-such a town, our operators will be unable to give you any new information..." and so on for a full minute or two.
Apart form anything else, how many people ringing up to bitch about that really think 'well that's that settled then' and hang up?

putting on clothes in the morning, its always so awkward and time consuming and it annoys me that I have to take off my headphones when I want to put a t shirt/sweater on. This is frustrating.

Washing dishes and making dinner are also laborious meaningless tasks. This also applies to sleeping.

^But sleeping is nature's holodeck!

Hate it when they bag the groceries and they mix cold items with not cold items. Even if I have grouped them together on the checkout counter. I then have to re-arrange the bags at the car so all cold items go safely in the cooler.

Hate it that I havent won the lotto yet and have to continue with the drudgery of working for a living.:techman:

This is the reason I never accept bagging help, along with a tendency to put soft or breakable stuff at the bottom and pile tins of beans on top of it.

When I was 16, I got a Christmas job at Boots. We had training on packing customers' bags, and how to hand it to them nicely, not, and I can still remember this nearly 30 years later, "like a bag of washing." Seems no one these days gets that training. Irritates the hell out of me when I spend a stack of money in a store and they pack my bag like a bag of washing. :brickwall:

No, it's not beautiful. I prefer dark gloomy days where I can see properly without sunglasses, where I don't feel like I'm melting the second I step out of the house, and to be quite honest I wouldn't mind having winter last long enough to replace spring and summer entirely.

I really, really like you.

There are very few little things left which annoy me. I don't know, I was so annoyed with being annoyed that I started to find everything amusing rather than hating it. It does my general well-being pretty good.

What I wonder, is do they really pack their OWN groceries like that or are they just being lazy at the job. I mean, does it really need training just to be logical with packing items into bags? Don't they exercise some logic when doing their own shopping? Have they never even played tetris ever??? ;)

I had the most pleasant experience at Meijer the other night. I had loads of groceries but chose to do the self-checkout because all the lines were really long. I had just gotten off work after about twelve hours, I was tired from shopping, and I knew I needed to go home and cook dinner for my husband.

So there I am at the store, scanning all these items, rather exhausted. One of the employees came over and started bagging them all up for me, and she was so pleasant and organized! Chatting with her for a few minutes and having her pack up all my groceries made all the difference in my day. I said as much to her and I feel like we both walked away feeling much more pleasant than we had just ten minutes earlier.

I really, really like you.

I'm just glad I didn't come off as being horribly cynical or something! :D

Wait a minute... you worked for 12 hours and then had to cook dinner for your husband? He should be cooking you dinner.

^^^ Oh, I don't always cook! But we had been eating out for awhile and I wanted to cook him a nice meal because he works hard, too.
