Warning - uncomfortable details in the link.

According to TV Guide, Hollywood stunt coordinator Joel Kramer has been accused of harassment by actress Eliza Dushku during the filming of the film True Lies when Dushku was 12 and Kramer was 36. Kramer denies the accusations.

And how is this Star Trek Discovery related? The article mentions that Kramer works on Discovery; a search at IMDB brings him up as a stunt coordinator for the pilot, "The Vulcan Hello".

Completely inappropriate given the subject matter at hand. I know you can't bear to see the show criticised, but if you'll re read the OP, you'll see that didn't happen. Someone who worked on the show has had a serious allegation made about their conduct earlier in life, and it is not a joking matter.

I think to take a personal shot at my character (can't stand to see the show criticized), given that you're a mod, is not appropriate. Sorry, but that's total BS.

I'm a huge fan of Eliza Dushku. She was born in the same town as me, and I've followed her since Buffy. I don't think it's a laughing matter at all so please spare me.

I saw no relevance whatsoever to this OP's post, other than to drum up further discord. That's what I thought was bogus. And, frankly it was. It feels disingenuous at her expense.

I'm not sure what the point of posting this in the discovery forum was? The guy worked on one episode of Discovery and Eliza Dushku is not involved with the show. Had Kramer assaulted one of the female cast or crew of Discovery or it comes to light that he has then yes lets talk about it in the Discovery forum. Otherwise i think this post would be more appropriate in a general thread regarding sexual assault like the one in TNZ.

Does this make sense? Obviously I'm not trying to dissuade the discussion of sexual assault, but I'm not sure this particular case in really relevant to Discovery.

So, they had a stunt coodinator on the pilot episode who's now accused of sexual harassment on a film set back in 1994. <--- yep, ST: D related (or maybe not.) And no, I'm not trying to make lite of anything here, but:

1) So far he wasn't accused of anything WRT his work on ST: D

2) Accusation isn't proof (and while I have no reason not to believe the actress involved; there is a current climate of "If someone says is, it must be 100% true..."

It's a touchy subject and sexual (or any type of real workplace harassment shouldn't be tolerated or condoned; but I also don't like the auto assumption of guilt every time these this come to light.

it's like the James Franco situation where the women involved fully admit the liaisons were 100% consensual and no force or harassment pre se; but perhaps it was inappropriate of him to ask at the time - and they felt they needed to bring it to light.
