Well, if it's a Star Trek person then I'll go with Marlena Moreau, for companionship reasons. Assuming my current skills translate into the Star Trek universe. I'll be able to handle survival, and probably working on trying to repiair the shuttles communications or something.

Initially my non-Star Trek pick would be my wife, but then as I thought about it more I'm not sure I would want to condemn her to a life stranded on a planet. However, I'm sure she would be quite capable of survival and her skills would be invaluable.

If I have to pick a human, probably Riker. He’s smart, good at improvising and he’s strong, both of those would be helpful in getting rescued. I would have said Picard but Riker is younger and a bigger guy. I get the feeling Riker might be a better pick for hunting and provisioning purposes.
