No, of course not. Nor would I expect productions aimed at women to portray men accurately - men are typically portrayed as accurately in rom-coms as women are in porn, for instance.

Yes, though I've noticed that Sci-Fi TV tends to have a disproportionately large number of female writers.

If Dollhouse's Echo is anything to go by, it's usually a male writer that introduces the Super Ninja Action Girl character.
