String Theory used to explain Quantum-critical State Of Electrons

I think I understand some of this but, it's still quite fascinating...

Hopefully, someone will figure out how to make superconductive material that's highly ductile and usable as a replacement for the copper wires that currently constitutes the typical data bus on Motherboards. That would exponentially increase a computer's processing speed. :)
 
This quantum soup they're describing where electrons act as a collective, is this similar to quantum entanglement?

BTW: What other things could come out of room-temperature superconducting?

I have no idea. The quantum soup thing is reminding me of when scientists thought fire was sustained by something called 'Caloric' (sp?). Whatever they're trying to do, I don't fully understand it yet.
