Stranger Planet alien/cop show from Chuck producer on FOX

MiB, the series? :rommie:

The hourlong alien-themed cop show Stranger Planet, from Chuck executive producer Matthew Miller, has received a put pilot commitment. Just like Chuck, it is an action drama with comedic elements. Produced by Warner Bros. TV, Stranger Planet centers on a hard-boiled L.A. cop who stumbles upon the existence of aliens living among us and must team up with two aliens in order to solve intergalactic mysteries on Earth. Miller is the writer-executive producer.
Sounds fun, hope it makes it through the development wringer. Miller can tap his existing cast for the main roles. Adam Baldwin's the cop, Zachary Levi is one of the aliens. With two white guys as major character, the other alien should be nonwhite and female - Dana Davis would be a good choice.

The good old "Good Cop/Weird Cop" subgenre...almost always short-lived.

Something Is Out There was one of my favorites, mainly for the lead actors and their chemistry. I always found Maryam D'abo more attractive and charming than Olivia. ;)

I'm always a fan of this kind of stuff, so I'll be on the lookout for more news on this.

Miller did a great job stretching the limited premise of Chuck and getting more comedy out of it than I ever thought possible. With a far more wide-open premise like this, the results can only be even better. :bolian:

Maybe if Breaking In doesn't pull off a miracle and come back, Miller can hire some of that cast.

Why? The supernatural/sci fi cop show concept is well travelled. Death Valley which is debuting at the end of this month is another iteration of the concept (COPS with vampires and zombies).
