All this episode did was remind me why Lower Decks was the one Trek show I literally quit watching in the middle of episode 5. Everyone here says it got better. If this is what is defined as "getting better", then I haven't missed anything.

Also strangely enough despite hints in this episode's start that all Orions aren't pirates, all they did was establish that all Orions are pirates. Ok.

But LD is the greatest Trek that has ever Trekked since DS9 trekked. Presumably. I can't stand it.

Also I'm not sure why they let Boimler say as much as he did in regards to Pike, because his words seemed to imply that no cure for Pike is ever found after Menagerie. I'm not sure the writers should box themselves in that way, Anson's a great actor and curing Pike after Menagerie and continuing from there seems a possibility they should leave open.

Yeah, but that would have removed all drama about the countdown.

GREAT episode.

Fantastic.

I really wanted Una to be Boimler's grandmother, though.

It just shouldn't have been mentioned period. The birthday party thing was contrived and Pike's birthday being a Fed holiday seems a bit much. We were already beaten over the head with Kirk's mission being historic, now we're told that Pike's is also, which ironically makes one wonder why Kirk's mission is so historic in comparison to Pike's.

Who is saying that. I enjoy Lower Decks, think it's a top series of this new era, but it's not the greatest Trek or whatever. It's fun. This SNW episode was fun, and had a lot of heart. That's good enough for me.

It's the general ... "Vibe" I got from people. Everyone acts like it's brilliant and intelligent and gust-busting humorous. Because low-brow humor, shouting and constant self-refetences are high-larious.

Maybe people just like having Trek, it's not for everyone, and no one ever claims it is peak humor or peak Trek.

This however is low hanging outrage bait and is frankly borderline trolling.

Which I fell for.

Nope! They didn't bat an eye at anything they saw in regards to the ship or technology. Much to the disappointment, i'm sure, of certain individuals who expected Boimler or Mariner to gripe about things "looking wrong." Prime Timeline, Baby!
I knew they wouldn’t do it. It would undermine everything they’ve done. I was just thinking they might do it with the Quarters considering how ridiculously large they are.
