Strange food combinations

Which strange food combination have you tried and enjoyed?

Myself, I used to like pairing all rice or pasta dishes with slices of banana and a squeeze of fresh lemon... I've weened myself from that thankfully, but there was a time a could not face eating those dishes without my special additions...

I had a cousin who liked to spread strawberry jam on top of cheese toast...

What strange combos have you done?

When I go to Wendy's, I like to dip my fries in my Frosty. I guess that's just the salty-sweet combo I like.

A guy used to come into my grandfather's restaurant and have cherry pie with tartar sauce. He had that combination by accident once and loved it. I have yet to try it.

I like to have Chocolate Chip Cookies and Barbecued Potato Chips with Iced Tea or Grape Kool-Aid. It's the snack that I have while reading Comics, and I've been doing it for about 35 years.

That is truly strange. :cardie:

There was I time I liked to chew mars bars with prawn cocktail walkers crisps.

I accidently got some Adobo spice on the bottom of my cooked Pilsbury Reese cookies. Wasn't bad, but not something I'd want to eat like that.

I've never done any food combonations, but I did see this news report once where they had a random clip where this chinese dude put yogart on his hamburger!

I caught an episode of Bizarre Foods where Andrew Zimmern went to a burger joint that put a tablespoon of peanut butter on a burger as it cooked. Andrew said it was surprisingly good, so I cooked one up that way.

It was indeed surprisingly good.

The XXX on the Purdue University Campus makes a burger with peanut butter on it. Just read about it on CNN.com the other day.

One time just by accident, while I was eating a piece of plain chocolate, I bumped into someone holding an open jar of peanut butter.

I was at first sad that my chocolate was ruined, but the guy pulled it out, tasted it, his face lit up and he offered me a bite.

Now I am actually thinking of marketing this strange combo...
