Story prioritizes

How about a more detailed post outlining what exactly it is you're trying to say?

I think it's fairly clear what the OP is trying to say: that the writing team supposedly emphasizes Easter eggs as first priority, all the way down to plot as the lowest priority.

The only plot that didn't work for me was Temporal Edict. Pretty much everyone in that one had to act like an idiot for it to work: Freeman had to be stupid to react so extremely to buffer time to maintain her new policy in the face of an invasion, her crew had to be stupid to not raise the issue with her before or even after everything went south, the Away Team had to be stupid to not just beam off the planet and away from captivity.

Well, then I'll echo the sentiment that as long as it's entertaining, who cares? That's all that matters to me when the episode is done, was it entertaining? If the answer is yes, then the show is a success. The fact each episode is loaded with easter eggs and callbacks is neither here nor there.
