Stories that don't need zombies?

Naturally, adding zombies to The Clone Wars would be... interesting. Though any Jedi could make short work of an army of the walking dead. Zombie Emperor of Dune...hmmm....

Going by what Obi-Wan said about the Force ("The Force is what gives a Jedi his powers. It's an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us, penetrates us, it binds the galaxy together."), I kind of figure that Zombies are immune to the Force. Since they are the undead, they don't add to the Force and in my opinion, can't be directly affected by it, either (I view it this way, if a Jedi were to "Force Blast" a Zombie, it wouldn't work, but, of course, if they were to use the Force to throw something at a Zombie, it'd hit the Zombie. I think it goes without saying that the Jedi Mind Trick wouldn't work on a Zombie).

I've clearly given this way too much thought.

Jedi can manipulate inanimate objects and predict their movements etc. so I don't see zombies being immune to those effects. Things like the Jedi mind trick however would be a different matter.

I don't want to live in a world without zombies.

have you tried this one?

Of course the other Star Zombies. You know, The Dark Zombie and all the others untill A new Zombie, Zombies strike back and Return of the Zombies.

Zombieland would become Another Day in the Life of Woody Harrelson.

28 Days Later would become England Under Thatcher.

Plan 9 From Outer Space would become just slightly less bad.

Shaun of the Dead would become Spaced.

Land of the Dead would become W.

The Good, the Bad and the Zombies-Clint Eastwood shoots and kills a bunch of desperadoes. They come back to life and eat his brain.

You know what movies could use zombies? Any one of those cheesy "vampires vs werewolves" movies. Underworld? Could use zombies. Twilite? Could DEFINITELY use zombies. True Blood? Zombies (though the way the series is going they could introduce zombies without skipping a beat).

Saw Twilight Friday night. It already has a bunch of zombies in it. They're called "the cast" . :shifty:

If they really wanted to make an interesting zombie movie, they should film Philip Nutman's novel Wet Work.

In it, there are different 'stages' of undead, if that makes any sense. From the full-out shuffling mindless Romero type zombies, all the way up to those who are indistinguishable from living humans in that they retain their full intelligence and personality. In fact these 'smart zombies' eventually take control of society and form their own government - the 'United States of Hell'.

All the wannabe-fantasy movies, you know, the ones with the bad costumes and worse plots could use some zombies. Dungeons and dragons or the Eragon-crap!

"Stories that don't need zombies" is one of the best thread titles I've ever seen around here.

American Pie doesn't need zombies. I'd hate to see what a ZILF looks like.

I don't know. American Pie - 28 Days Later could be a winner.

On the other hand, Animal House with zombies probably wouldn't have been any different. So, no need for zombies there.
