Stimulant of Choice

Garm Bel Iblis

Commodore
Not a coffee drinker and really trying to quit the soda, what's your stimulant of choice to get through the late afternoon crash that happens when you've worked your ass off?

I want some cold, refreshing that will give me the push across the line of the end of the day.

I just recently quit my iron Bru(God no more iron bru:() and all fizzy soft drinks, and now its all tea and the odd coffee now and again.

Hot tea. It doesn't make you crash like coffee. I only drink Earl Grey because for some reason I can't stand any other variety.

Sleep and exercise.

Less carbs at lunch isn't a bad idea either.

This was posted our our intranet site the other day:

Would you like to sleep better? Exercise.
Would you like to shed a few pounds (and keep it off)? Exercise.
Would you like to prevent or better manage disease? Exercise.
Would you like to have more energy? Exercise.
Would you like to be stronger? Exercise.
Would you like to keep up with the kids in your life? Exercise.
Would you like to a have a little more wiggle room in your diet? Exercise.
Would you like to be in a better mood? Exercise.
Would you like to have a stronger immune system? Exercise.
Would you like to feel more confident? Exercise.

A handful of trail mix does wonders for me. The sugar provides an instant boost, and the protein keeps it going. Plus, the nuts have heart healthy fat.

Exercise works well, too. I always get a buzz from it.

My solution to all of that gibberish is MORE BEER.

What the doctors don't want us to know is that beer is actually better than exercise. Tell your friends.

Anyway, my choice is usually coffee, black.
