Speaking with Variety about the Oscar buzz around the X-Men franchise Wolverine movie Logan, the interviewer couldn’t help but ask about Stewart’s other big franchise role, Captain Picard. Initially reluctant to say “yes” to returning to the role of Capt. Jean-Luc Picard again, the Star Trek: The Next Generation star did talk about one possibility that would get him to put on the uniform one last time.

Oh, lord. I cannot think of another instance in which that might happen. My feeling is I hung up the space suit and left all that behind a long time ago. Maybe if someone came up with a brilliant idea, I’d do it. One thing that might interest me would be to bring all the existing casts of “Star Trek” from the last 50 years together for one big story.

It's a bit of a leap to go from "one thing which might get me to consider doing this is..." to "I want to do this" - it sounds very much like he was asked the question in an interview, didn't really want to answer it but also didn't want to be rude to the interviewer by refusing to answer, so pulled a scenario he knew would never happen out of his ass.

The only way I can see him ever playing Picard again is in a similar role to Spock Prime in ST09, or coming back to play Picard's death scenes, like Harrison Ford in TFA.

Not ten minutes passes after I closed one of your threads for bumping it up with something only tenuously related to the original topic (and that topic mere wishful thinking based upon an offhand question asked during an interview about something else) what should appear but a brand-new thread — one about a Trek actor with no connection whatsoever to the Abrams films or Kelvin timeline outside of a brief appearance by his character in the introductory comic?

Just slapping a fake title and an arbitrary mention of Tarantino and ST4 on a puff of non-related news won't make it a viable topic for a thread here. You could as easily have made it a single post in one one of the already-existing active Tarantino threads. Doing it like this instead is just spamming, and there's a rule against that.
