Steve Perry is back?!?!

Browsing Twitter and saw that Steve Perry has an album coming out on October 5th called Traces.
Pre-ordered on iTunes, and downloaded the first single No Erasin'. I'll give the song 6.5/10 - not great, but The Voice is back! And the guy is doing radio interviews today as well.

I am a 49 year old man that just turned into a complete fangirl today.

Now, I'd love to hear a collaboration between Steve and Neal Schon (the rest of Journey is not required).

He's not quite the same vocally. A little raspier, but still sounds like Steve Perry.

Now if we could get Richard Marx back too
Richard Marx has released four albums in the last 10 years, the latest in 2014. But if you mean back on the charts, I agree.

As an aside, this is my favorite version of this song. I wish it was a little more professionally produced, but I still like it a lot, and thought I'd share since you like Richard Marx.

Perry released a 2nd song called No More Cryin'.
More bluesy and Motown-y, and it reminds me a lot of the Infinity era Journey stuff.

I'm looking forward to hearing the full album.

Thanks Ar-Pharazon, I still don't really know how to post videos, so this is awesome!

Here's how pathetic I am: After Steve left Journey, I didn't realize it happened, because the new Steve (Augeri) looked so much like the old one, I thought "Perry" was a stage name and he'd gone back to his real name. :alienblush:

Oh, and Steve Perry's bit during the Journey arcade game - you do remember the Journey arcade game, don't you :wtf: - was my favorite. I didn't play quite so pathetic at it as I did during the other ones (especially Neal Schon's bit, where I always ended up smashing into a wall).
