It won't, NBC will replace it with another show where the main character is mean scum, like all the other Thursday shows
Community is the new Office.
P&Rec is not consistent and I gave up on that awhile back.
30 Rock is just overrated imo and I don't watch that anymore either.
Community has more relatable characters(like Office, we all know our own office's Office counterpart) doing things we all have done or wish we had with our friends. It's the Big Bang of NBC, the show full of pop culture and fun that we all engage in from time to time with our own circle of friends. Maybe just notched up in tone a bit.

True, let me rephrase it, NBC has a lot of Thursday night shows with very unlikeable characters.
Not as impossible as it sounds. The heart/main character of the show leaving doesn't always mean the writers will do the right thing. I don't know if there are other examples, but "Spin City" is proof of this. Michael J. Fox was playing the protagonist of the show. The whole premise was centered around his character, and yet they tried to keep it going with Charlie Sheen in the lead after he left. I just don't believe in stuff like that. It's like a band keeping the same name when the lead singer leaves.

8 Simple Rules for Dating My Daughter: I know he died, still they went one more season.
X-Files: I was fine with this one, went two more seasons after Mulder but hey its a government job, somone fills the void.
