Sternbach runabout concept

All things considered modeling a ship sounds like more fun. Good luck with the operation!

Awesome work! :bolian:

If it turns out looking as good at the pics promise, I hope someone makes this as a phyiscal model in 1/72 scale.

Good luck on your surgery!

Don't know when the next update will be, I'm in hospital tomorrow for a hernia op.
Been there - done that; don't push yourself (it's tempting, but you pay for it! Again, been there, and done that, too! )

Looking good with the model - can't wait to see the interior, too

Well maybe just a little..

The model looks sweet! Hope you're feeling better.

BTW, I was in York a couple of weeks ago on vacation...beautiful country.

Great looking realization of this ship!

What (if anything) do you plan on identifying the aft-facing bussards' function as? And I think making the area around the cockpit windows crimson to match the top bits would look nice, myself.

Keep it up!

I thought the nacelles looked a little thin at first too. But the more I look at it, the more I like how the elements evolved from the original series shuttle into this one- and one of those elements are the nacelles. I kind of like that this is a future version with SMALLER nacelles. Kinda makes sense that some things actually got smaller as the technology improved over 100 years.

I love this ship- the Runabout from DS9 was clunky. It had so many lumps and crap on it, you'd think the design team was on future space crack.

AS for the backward facing bussards on the bottom, like the other transport shuttle they had it on, I just take it with a grain of salt that it's a design element that just LOOKS like them... There's only so much we can rationally explain away.
