James McAvoy, Bill Hader in Talks to Star in 'It: Chapter Two'
Jessica Chastain is already on board for the sequel, which continues New Line's adaptation of the Stephen King classic.

James McAvoy and Bill Hader are in negotiations to join Jessica Chastain in It: Chapter Two.

The second installment of New Line’s adaptation of Stephen King’s It focuses on the adult versions of the characters that were subjected to the terror of demon clown Pennywise, last seen in the 2017 movie that grossed $700 million worldwide.

If deals make, McAvoy would play the role of the adult Bill Denbrough, the unofficial leader of the group of kids nicknamed the Losers Club, who grows up to be a successful author. When he returns to face his past, his old stutter resurfaces. Jaeden Lieberher played the character in the first movie.

Hader will play the adult Richie Tozier, the jokester who grows up to be a DJ. Finn Wolfhard played the character in the first installment.
Damn, they would be interesting choices.

I guess they are getting really close to announcing who they cast for all the adult Losers

Actor Harry Anderson Dies at 65

In addition to his role on the NBC sitcom, Anderson also appeared on 'Cheers,' starred as humorist Dave Barry on the 1990s show 'Dave's World' and played Richie Tozier in the 1990 miniseries adaptation of Stephen King's 'It.'

Night Court actor Harry Anderson died Monday morning in Asheville, N.C., the Asheville Police Department confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter. He was 65.

"This morning at 6:41 a.m. the Asheville Police Department responded to the home of actor Harry Anderson where he was found deceased," Asheville PD's Public Affairs officer Christina Hallingse told THR. "No foul play is suspected."

The 1980s sitcom ran for nine seasons on NBC and earned seven Emmy Awards and 31 nominations, including three for Anderson. Night Court starred Anderson alongside John Larroquette as assistant district attorney Dan Fielding.

RIP

They are going with a cast of known (Chastain, McAvoy, and Hader) and lesser known actors. I'm glad it isn't an all star cast, would have been too distracting.

My guess is filming is going start soon, so we should know who will be playing Mike and Ben not too long from now.

They gotta pick an actor to play Ben who can be a believable love interest for adult Beverly.

And our new Ben is... surprisingly, not Chris Pratt. It's Jay Ryan of CW's Beauty and the Beast.

There actually is a good resemblance here to the kid version, so I'd say it's a good call depending on acting talent. This could be a career maker for him.
Thank god it wasn't Chris Pratt, the guy is good at playing a man child in movies, and that would have been wrong for Ben.

I haven't seen Jay Ryan in anything before, but I think he is going to do a good job.

The Old Spice Guy? He either blew them away during the audition or they were in a real hurry to cast the last guy.

Pennywise Actor Teases The ‘IT’ Sequel Will Be Very Different From The Original Film

The highly-anticipated IT sequel is gearing up to begin production, and Pennywise the dancing clown will be returning to torture the Losers Club as their adult counterparts.

In an interview with Den of Geek, Bill Skarsgard, the actor who portrays the shape-shifting monster Pennywise in the IT feature film, explained how IT: Chapter Two would be very different from the previous film, which premiered in theaters in 2017. Unlike the original, which mainly had a cast of young kids, IT: Chapter Two will pair Skarsgard along with a cast of new actors, set to play the Losers Club as adults.

“It’s going to be a very different experience this time around, just given the fact that you have all of these incredible, seasoned actors to play against, as opposed to having all the kids. So it’s going to be a different experience for sure. But I’m looking forward to it.”

Skarsgard also confirmed that IT: Chapter Two would begin filming sometime this summer so he’ll have to dawn the clown makeup and get into Pennywise’s maniacal mindset very soon.
