Stephanie Beacham

Hi

Next weekend Stephanie Beacham is attending the Memorabilia show at the NEC in Birmingham (UK). I was wondering if anyone had any stills of her from the Star Trek Next Generation episode she starred in. She played Countess Barthalomew in the episode Ship In A Bottle.

If anyone could help I would be truly grateful

Regards

Andy

^ Yes, and at the moment she's on UK tv slumming it in Coronation Street. She still looks fab, though!

Lovely woman.
It was idiotic of the SeaQuest producers to fire her so they could hire a younger actress - one that I found less attractive and less interesting than Ms Beacham.

Beacham's character on SeaQuest was my favorite during the entire first season of that show, I HATED when she left! And incidentally, she wasn't fired. The producers wanted her back for season 2, but she quit. As per wikipedia (I know wikipedia isn't always accurate, but I've heard this reported elsewhere also):

Stephanie Beacham, who as Dr. Kristin Westphalen was one of the first season's strongest characters, had been asked back for the second year; however, she quit when it was decided the show would move production from Los Angeles to Florida. (The move also changed the show's location from Pearl Harbor to New Cape Quest; a fictional city in Florida). Beacham also blamed continued fighting between the network and the show's producers as a major reason why she did not return.
And the younger actress they got to replace her just worked out SO well...

Rosalind Allen was released as her character proved to be unpopular with the fans.
Supposedly they were working on a second wave of SeaQuest action figures that would've included a figure of Beacham as Dr. Westphalen, but they discontinued the line before the figure was released.

Interesting tidbit of info about her: She is completely deaf in her right ear and only has 75% hearing capacity in her left, due to her mother getting chicken pox while being pregnant with her. I'd imagine that must make acting all the more difficult. What if you're doing a scene where the person you're interacting with is standing to your right?
