Step Brothers

This movie looks... "humorous" enough. Will Ferrel is tollerable in the right cases.

But are the two "brothers" supposed to be.... "mentally deficient?"

Why are they acting like a couple of 'tards/people a quarter their age?

From the looks of it both the parents of these two guys coddled them for so long that they never developed beyond the age of ten mentally.

And why is it so unbelievable since we have living examples on this board. The movie synopsis says they are "spoiled".

I'm actually excited about this movie. The last several Will movies have had a "Austin Powers" kind of gimmick:

I'm a NASCAR driver!
I'm a basketball player!
I'm an anchor man!

This one is much simpler. He's just...a guy. I find that if want to make a movie without a gimmick "catch" as the draw, you need to have a pretty funny script. In other words, movies like this have to try harder to get attention than a movie named "Elf" has to.

I have high expectations.

To be fair my brother and I saw the preview for this (and I'm ashamed to admit it) and it reminded us both of how we act. No we're not step-brothers either. Though we would never do something as stupid as the bunkbed thing.
