I was checking in for a status update. Where does this show stand? Is time travel involved? So is this show a Mirror Universe or Alternate History? Have they explained the change in Klingon forehead ridges? What about the advanced technology?

I stopped watching after episode 2, but I'm still interested in finding out if they fixed or explained the apparent continuity errors yet?
