Statistics made fun

Rii

Rear Admiral
So I hear that there are people out there who don't enjoy statistics.

This man is here to change your mind.

Incidentally, the software featured in the clip is now owned by Google.

I clicked that link and saw "20 minutes?!? I'll watch one..."
but I watched all the way through. Very interesting. Cool software.
Off to visit his link. I taught Stats last year, and this had some neat ideas.

That was very interesting and entertaining.

I had to take stats while studying towards my sociology and anthropology degree. I didn't dislike stats per se; I just couldn't do the math. Some things are better left to the experts. ;)

I had the same reaction, and ended up watching the entire thing, and then passing it on to some other people I know who would find it fascinating.

Thanks for the link! :)

Nifty software, and I also didn't expect to find myself watching the whole thing. I'd have to give a lot of credit, too, to Rosling's sense of timing and pacing for making that a far more fascinating (and more frequently amusing) lecture than I would have expected, given the starting point of global health.
