Starting the L Word (for the first time)

I imagine Dana's gravestone being a toilet that grievers can sit on, and add compost to her buried remnants. Hell, something like that for a celebrity like Dana, and they could sell tickets.

You want them to breed, cross the species to... The Giant Lady Bug on the Good Place was a threat to all existence, cute or otherwise. There's a French cartoon on at the moment about a ladybug themed super hero...

Lara is the one nice person in this thing, and no one bothered to tell her that Dana is dead. Lara is turning down casual muddy sex with hot foreign sauna-girls out of respect and loyalty to a dead woman that dumped her viciously.

Are Lara's Tattoos fake as well?

The producer must be a slight nut case to tell her actresses (or just "Carmen") that they have to constantly pretend that they have tattoos, which they do not actually have, although that was a main plot point to Prison Break (The actor got a doctor to say the skin irritation was torture, and then the character had "fairybook perfect" laser removal of tattoos covering 80 percent of his body, in an hour) and of course Blindspot which is something that is actually still on air at the moment.

I'm suddenly remembering the chair that anyone who plays an alien on Star Trek has to sit in for 5 hours before they can pass as inhuman... Never mind.

(Yes I know about the women from Charmed having to cover up copious tattoos because their characters were far less whitetrash/hippies than the actresses.)

Okay, Chakotay, Sorry. I forgot about Chakotay.

Just imagining Carmen's curtain call is different day to day depending on when or if they plan on showing her tattooed ass or not.

The funeral was not that bad.

if you want a word in how the funeral takes place, then put some money in to pay for it. That was easily 40 thousand dollars worth of funeral, although it's safe to assume that Dana paid for her own funeral, and he parents assholes didn't have a leg to stand on.

I never remembered Lara's tattoos so I don't know if they are real or not.

It was a touching episode though, don't you think? Everyone sharing their memories of Dana.

My favourite was when Shane gave her acid and she thought Tegan and Sara were outing her!

They squashed months of shit, into one episode. Time inside this episode. The death, the funeral, and visiting the bunk where Dana got deflowered... That all should have taken weeks not days, maybe hours.

If you were right and Dana's cancer was pulled out of the producers ass half way through the season, it's disturbed her timing and pacing, that all this Dana stuff is getting in the way of all the other "little" stories that she was already trying to tell.

Bette is the worst.

"Tina is too white to raise a black baby. It should be illegal. All white parents need to hand over their black babies to me. It's the most moral thing we can do as a society and I think we can easily build a secret police to enforce my thoughts on racial purity, and murder anyone who dares to contradict me."

Bette is a Nazi.

And I'm not just saying that because I think she'd look super hot in spit shined black leather boots, but yeah, she totally would.

Shane proposing marriage?

I guess lesbians are idiots too.

"Hi, we having terrible problems, but if we get married, that will completely fix all our problems forever, LIKE MAGIC!"

The cancer storyline was thought of before season 3 went into production.

Bette's wanting sole custody of Angelica, is because she wants revenge against Tina. She feels betrayed.

Shane took Dana's death really hard, and it made her realize that she doesn't want to lose Carmen.

Bette started fucking around first.

Do you think Bette would be fine, if Tina had found a new girlfriend, instead of a man?

Everyone is trying to accommodate for Bette's feelings, and still she is a spiteful-rage monster.

Can Tina still call off the adoption?

It looks like it's going to fail, even if Tina is on board.

Well, they weren't even together when Tina was with Helena and Bette was pretty angry about that.

Yes. Tina has the power to call off the adoption.

I meant: "has the adoption gone through yet?"

Wow.

Bette is dumb.

If she strikes with this claim too fast when Tina can invalidate... Although the Lawyer said that the law recognises better as the Mommy even without adoption, so go figure.

I thought lawyers couldn't work against a person that they had already had as a client. Conflict of interest.

Need food.

Conflict of interest is when either party is involved with each other. Neither Bette or Tina has had a friendship or romantic relationship with Joyce. Even though she did try to seduce Tina in season 2, nothing further happened. So it's all okay.

Granted, laws are different state to state, and I only barely know things from watching Ally McBeal again and again, but conflict of Interest is a legal term for lawyers, so that they cannot be hired to defend and attack their own clients simultaneously without getting charged for malpractice if it is considered that they tried less than their best to win against themselves or abused privilege using intimacies their clients thought were safe to share.

"Joyce" (I'm struggling not to use her real name, since Jane Lynch is maybe the most famous actress on the show.) was Tina's lawyer when they were having depositions about the divorce.

Even if all they had done was have a consultation about Tina's options, that should still have conflicted the attorney out.

The bigger problem is that what Joyce did to Tina was close to rape. Forcing Tina into a situation where she had to relent to a manipulative person...

1. You can move into my guest house for free Tina, because I am kind.

2. $500 (2 huge men and a truck), and a day, to move all your shit into my guest house.

3. Wait till everything is unpacked.

4. Wait till the Guest house looks like a home and Tina feels safe.

5. Explain that Tina has to open her legs and pretend she's having a good time for 50 minutes before bedtime every night, or she's out on the curb like a homeless bum.

6. Enjoy the sex with this crying pregnant blond.

7. Rationalize that you are still a good person, even if you've just loopholed the return of slavery.

It's possible that the writers forgot about what happened between Joyce and Tina.

Tina probably didn't want to report anything.

Well, there was nothing to report.

Jane didn't do anything more manipulative than wearing a pretty dress and offering a glass of wine.

And when Tina said "NO" Jane was fine with that, but Tina had to leave, like any unwelcome guest.

Explaining what happened, would have been ammunition for any future arguments that Tina had with Bette.

That's called making a pass.

Most people are allowed to lunge/connect once, if it seems like a good idea and that this lunging will be received well, or that they are responding to imperceptible coded signals that might have actually happened.

Then the lunger is told to continue, or scoot.

If you are told to scoot, and you don't scoot, then there's a problem. Not only did Jane Lynch scoot, but Tina left under her own power, her own idea, before Jane got to say something awful like "My guest house is for friends who give me head, and you are no friend of mine."

A non self involved idiot would have known that she was being cornered by a sexual predator the moment she was offered free room and bored, and that that lunge and grope was coming. Tina obviously didn't realize how common a pregnancy fetish is, and wrongfully assumed that she was undesirable and un####able.

Silly girl.

Joyce was offering Tina a gilded life as her live in girlfriend.

Which is a synonym for "whore".

I'm not being rude, just accurate.

If you pay your land lord for your accomodation with sex, that's the barter system, which is old timey currency, and therefore prostitution.

Here's my real problem with this... If Jane had been prettier or younger, Tina would have been flattered and consented to being Joyce the lawyer's Mistress, because a hot firm young lawyer telling her that she is beautiful really takes the sting out of accepting that you are now working in the world's oldest profession.

I'm pretty sure Tina didn't even consider this.

Tina was just repulse that the wrinkled old lady was touching her engorged pregnancy boobs, and maybe ashamed that she was so easily tricked by "friend" claiming to be interested in altruistically sorting out all her difficult problems for her.

Joyce should have sued Tina for emotional infliction of harm.

Helena had a pregnancy fetish.

We saw her try to get some other girl to put a bun in her oven too.

Joyce is a sugar momma with a Gallahd Complex. She finds women with no choices/options, positions herself as a white knight saviour, and then glad not to be living on the streets, these dupes will do anything to thank Joyce for her kindness.

ANYTHING!
