I havent' seen a thread about this (could be my dodgy glasses), but I just saw an ad on ABC (Aust) TV saying the new season Down Here starts Sept 8. Usually we see the eps a week after you guys, so...

I noticed on the TV Guide screen thing I have that Doctor Who is coming back this Saturday. I can't wait. I feel like I've been so out of the loop on the Doctor Who Franchise that I'm afraid I'll come back and not know what is going on. Everyone is talking about the 50th anniversary and that's fine if you're a long time fan, but I guess for me, starting in 2005 to now, I'll enjoy it when it comes. For now though, just the new season itself (And the possibility of seeing Ben Browder again on my TV in a new role) is exciting enough. Also, I know people have said enough of the Daleks, but I am actually looking forward to seeing them again, because based on the calender, it's been like 2 and a half years. Time to bring them back.

Well a Dalek did appear in "The Wedding of River Song" so it'll be less than a year since their last appearance.

But if you are talking as the main villian then yes it'll be over 2 years. (Discounting their appearence in "The Pandorica Opens"
