Starships of the "MadUniverse"

Hey guys, I thought I would start a new thread, devoted to these ships.

My original idea was simple... I wanted to build a version of the Constellation, using the idea that it was actually a ship of an earlier class. I decided to base it on the Kelvin, but as I started building it, I started making changes. What I arrived at was a ship that came from between the Kelvin era, and the new movie. I used that to add some details from TOS, TMP, and the Kelvin style. From the beginning, I designed it to be easily kit-bashable... these are the ships I came up with.

So, how do you guys like them? I'm thinking about making an old style Dreadnought, next, and some alien ships for them to fight with. I might need some help with ideas for the Romulans...

:)

Good looking ships and a great presentation style.
I'm looking forward to the alien ships.

All I can say is I wish I had 1/10th your skill. Then I might be able to get the basic shape of a ship I've been wanting to design. I've got sketches, but for the life of me I can't get them to look good in any of the programs I've used. Or rather 'tried' to use.

Hey, you can PM me with a link to those, if you want to upload them. :)

What? The sketches? Would you render them for me or am I misunderstanding something? (sorry, 5am and I never went to sleep, so I'm a bit slow right now.)

Was there some reasoning behind swapping out the running light color scheme?
Because, traditionally, red is on the port (left) and green is on the starboard (right) as you are facing forward.

Otherwise a fantastic job, as always.

Yep, the sketches... I was just curious to see what you had. If I really like them, I could probably work up a model. :)

No, no reasoning... I just got them backwards, apparently. :) I need to go ahead and fix that...
