I would buy it if it was worth seeing, I would like to support Jolene Blalock, but if it's a steaming pile of horse manure maybe i should watch it some other way.

What do you think

i bought it and loved every minute of it. MUCH MUCH better than the second one, but not as good as the first. also if you havent checked out "roughnecks" you should def check that out too

I'd choose "other way".

And save for Casper's almost nude scene, even that is a waste of bandwidth.

it was ok.buy it if you can get it cheap!

Buy ? Dear god no...

I would hesitate adding it to my collection even if they were giving it to me for free.

It was an awful movie, not really worse than ST2 but that's not saying much.

It really depends on how big a Troopers fan you are. I bought it at too high a price, and I thought it was okay.

The FX were so-so, regarding the bugs-I actually thought the creature effects in ST2 were better-even though ST3 has a much bigger budget, or appears to be that way.

It was great to see Van Dien again, and ST3 had more of a feature film feel. That being said, I think they were ham-handed in how they tried to inject religion into the film, and the characterization/acting were so-so. To my recollection, there was no Jolene Blalock nudity either. Bummer.

I would go with rent it. But if you are a real ST3 fan and got to have it, wait to it goes on sale or buy one of the trilogy packs if you don't own the other two movies.

It was OK, I was mildly surprised, but i think you may have buyer's remorse if you pay more than $6.00 for it.

It was shite, but then what would one expect? The "Marauders" were a total wast of creative energy, they didn't really do anything despite all the build-up.

am i the only one or has anyone else noticed that jolene blalocks lips look like their twice their normal size in this film?

I have to say I was pretty pleased with it. The end was a rushed and the mauraders should have had more time to play. But other than that, it was a worthy sequel for the most part..

I'll hesitantly agree that the bugs looked better in Pt. II, but I think they saved on FX by keeping the story focused to one location rather than lots of other set pieces like they have in Pt. III.. So with the money the saved on location, they were able to pump more into the CGI..

I bought it so I could have the set.. Not regretting it..

Rent it. I thought it was better than the second film, though not as fun as the first. But it's still a good little action flick, certainly lightyears better than Sci Fi's original Sat night junk fests.

Its definitely a Rental IMO - especially if you appreciated the satire aspects of ST1. (The satire is not as clever as in ST1, but there is plenty of it) There certainly isn't as much action or effects as ST1, so don't expect that.

I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would.

For a direct to video sequel, it's surprisingly decent. The FX are shit, which is unforunate because the hack-and-slash of the first movie was one of the best parts, but for the rest the in-your-face satire of the first film is sustained and pushed forward, it has a good sense of humour about itself, and there's possibly more character-work than the first film (although not a very high standard to match, I know). I'd never bother buying it, but I'd say it's worth a rental.
