Starship Mine

This thread gave me a good opportunity to watch Starship Mine again, and it's one of my favorite episodes of the season. I didn't know Pat Tallman was in this one, but then I don't think I've seen this since before last year when I took it to myself to watch all of Babylon 5 and become a fan. Also, this was the episode with Hutch and Picard's Saddle. Loved the end line, "It came in handy, only wish I could have used it on a horse."

It was a fun episode, and for TNG, those were few and far between.

Hey, Pat Tallman in a lead (well, secondary) (well, guest) role. That's all I needed.

Good point. I have a thing for statuesque women (and short, wide, etc. etc.). I can watch her all day long. I enjoyed her in Babylon 5 as well. That reminds me...I haven't seen her in anything in a long time.

When Castle's new season starts, you'll see her as a murder victim. When she turned 40 she gave up being a stuntwoman, and apparently the acting jobs aren't coming as miuch as she'd hoped.

No, no, no! This was supposed to be a thread about bashing the episode, not getting reacquainted with its brilliance! I'm melting! What a world!

I will only see her if I watch Castle, which to date has not occurred.
;)
Seriously, thanks for the update, and I'll make a half-hearted effort to find that episode.

Then Worf's line "a horse...of course" :guffaw:

I liked this episode. But then, I also like Masks.

I liked that it was simply an action-adventure piece. Sometimes it's nice to just be entertained without having a message thrown at you. I'm not saying I dislike the fact that TNG was very message-driven, but a diversion from that every once in a while is enjoyable.

I have to say, I also enjoyed "Masks" quite a bit and I'm not exactly sure why. Anyway, "Starship Mine" was a pleasant surprise because we got see Picard kick some ass. I thought given how he handled the intruders he should do Worf's job too:lol:
