Hello Everyone,
Starscape BBS has made a few changes. I will outline them below:
Starscape BBS, in the interest of fostering a more focused discussion board, has added Star Trek, Star Wars and BSG to it's lineup.
This board is now primarily a Star Trek, Star Wars & BSG board.
That being said, the TalkNet Lounge still exists and will continue to function as it is, and it also houses the former Creative Arts & TV Media fora.
There is also a new forum called Crossroads, where no holds barred debate is allowed.
Other reasons to stay at Starscape?
* Our Arcade
Which now features close to 100 games for you to play.
* A Personal Blog
We give you free blog space here, on the board, no strings attached.
* Friendly, personable staff
We are always here to help. We do our best to be fair and even handed.
* Genuine Conversation
We promote the idea that people can have changed hearts and minds. That ideas are worth talking about.
* No ads
Starscape BBS has no ads. We keep them off your screen so you don't have to worry about them.
We don't like the spyware and flashing banners either.
* Elite Membership
Elite Membership is free, and you get it by reaching 1000 posts. There is also a Level II Elite Membership for people with 5000 posts.
There is a lounge for each Elite Member level. Some other perks include zero flood control (current board settings for regular members is 30 seconds),
unlimited PMs and Emails (current settings for regular members is 20 PMs, 5 Emails a Day).
* Fun Contests
Spamicon, which is a tradition here, Art contests, poetry contests, and this coming year for 2009 I will be adding contests where you can win
actual prizes.
*Stability
While we do change our layout from time to time, and moderators switch out and in, Starscape BBS has been here for 3 years coming this December,
and we're on a very stable server that is fast and efficient. We have no intentions of going anywhere, anytime soon. We love it here.
We are truly trying to build a community where everyone has a voice, everyone has the capability to say what they want to say.
We want you to be a part of that community, and we hope you will join us here, and help us grow.
