Stargazer Series

So while waiting for the next TNG book I am reading the Stargazer series. I just went to get book 2 for my Kindle (8.99 by the way WTF) and saw that books 2 and up have "The Next Generation" in the Title. Is that right?

The original covers don't have it, but looking at amazon.ca, they seem to have it in the title listed there haphazardly.

As far as I know, the main Stargazer books are as follows:

TNG: The Valiant
Gauntlet
Progenitor
Three
Oblivion
Enigma
Maker

All of those books are centered on the early years of the Stargazer. Christopher's The Buried Age shows the Battle of Maxia, where the Stargazer was lost. The TNG book Reunion features the Stargazer crew coming onboard the Enterprise-D and also has flashbacks to major events on the Stargazer which happened between Maker and The Buried Age.

One of the Double Helix books also features the Stargazer, but as far as I know this book has been pretty soundly ignored by the rest of the novels.

Issue #3 of IDW's Mirror Universe comic series was set aboard the ISS Stargazer too...

And arguably, the first TNG relaunch novel (Death in Winter) is the "conclusion" to the Stargazer saga.

thier is also the buried age which is set after the stargazer's mishap with the frenghi . it is before farpoint so check it out.

I my self have'nt gotten to them yet I have them on my nook but I was thinking of reading the lost era books which I think all but the burried age lead into the stargazer books.

^ No; they have nothing to do with Stargazer at all, except for the Buried Age, which is set a long, long time after the Stargazer series, though it begins on that ship.

^The Stargazer crew does appear in portions of Vulcan's Soul, which takes place during the "Lost Era" period, though it was written years before the Lost Era series came along.

how is the captin's table anthology ? from my understanding there is sopposed to be a stargazer story in that .

It's actually about Picard after the destruction of the Stargazer, I'm not sure how it fits with The Buried Age.

The story "Darkness" in Tales from the Captain's Table takes place shortly after Part I of The Buried Age, and the two are mostly consistent with each other. I took "Darkness" into account when writing TBA, but I had to ignore a couple of details of its description of the Stargazer's destruction.

^ Dude, you ask like 80 questions a day on here that could ALL be answered by searching Memory Beta. Do your own research!
