Starfleet regulations on interspecies mixing

Tom, Neelix, kes and Seska all left without any fuss.

Considering how hard Janeway bared down on Ransom, you have to wonder why Janeway let Seska just scone off.

Only Tom counts in this, she could hardly force DQ resident species to stay on Voyager. And Seska, you'd need a guard on her at all times while she did whatever routine assignment she was given and that's a waste of manpower too.

They were willing to do it with Suder.

(And those Ferengi.)

Hell.

They could use the same guard if Suder and Seska shared quarters.

How long until they shared a bunk?

In either case, they could have put Suder or Seska in Stasis if it was too arduous to guard, feed and clothe them.

But really how much less demolishing was the damage Seska was doing to the Kazon, than the Kazon would have done to the Ocampa?

(Or letting those Ferengi pretend to be Gods?)

Talk about inconsistent.

Janeway needs to build pain booths.

Everyone is too busy building shuttles.

Why not build the pain booths in the shuttles?

This will work.

Because the shuttles are constantly crashing.

Meaning that when Chakotay plunges one into a moon you have to then build not just a new shuttle to replace it but a new agony booth as well - or several new agony booths if you plan on putting more than one in a shuttle.

Your cunning plan has more holes than the Iraqi Navy.

any romantic attachment a crewmember makes outside of the crew itself has one of two likely outcomes: either that relationship necessarily ends when the ship moves on, leading to a heartbroken crewmember who probably won't be operating at his peak for a bit; or the crewmember leaves the ship, diminishing Voyager's manpower.

You forgot the third: the alien leaves THEIR society and joins Voyager's crew to be with his/her partner.

Or the fourth: the crewmember and the alien might have just been having a brief fling with no expectation it would last. No strings attached, as it were.

No no no, you just put agony thingies in the wall of the shuttle and use force fields to keep a person in one spot while you turn the agony thingies on. You don't need to build an actual booth in the shuttle.

Which is what Kes did via Neelix (who had already left his society).

7 left her society but not for a partner.

Kashyk pretended he was going to leave his society with the lure of a partner as well as being on the outs with them.
