Starfleet Physical Fitness Standards

I remember the fight scene between Kruge and Kirk in TSFS, when the Genesis planet was falling apart. Kirk did a backflip while kicking the Klingon in the jaw. If Kirk could do that as old as he was, Starfleet's physical fitness program must be intense.
Kirk's cannonball gut is filled with helium.

That might fall under the category where, when someone is terrified and in great danger, their good ol' adrenaline kicks in and they suddenly find themselves performing Circus Strong Man Tricks they never knew they could ...

I must admit ... when I see Kirk's stuntman diving off an outcropping towards Kruge, as The Shat's giving out that yell of his ... the illusion doesn't sell. I can tolerate much that won't leap me out of a movie, but something like this does. I don't know why. I guess it's the overthetopness of it. Maybe it's one toppped top too far ...

But seriously, I think that the physical fitness program in the future would be age appropriate, where, for example, someone in their teens and twenties can do triathlete/parkour/eccletic martial arts stuff, where someone fifties years older can do these things, but with at a 1/3rd reduction in overall performance (if the person is healthy for his/her age). I have seen YT vids of older guys taking down younger guys thanks to experience as well.
