starfleet academy series

I'm collecting them with my 33% off coupons at Borders when I have nothing else to spend them on. I have to say, with this second book, there were about 8 copies on the shelves, and only one that I would have bought. The rest were trimmed crooked, and most of them had corner damage.

I'm picky. But then, that's why I don't order my new books online. ;)

Oh, and a curiosity - why don't the authors get cover credit? You have to open the book to the title page to see the author's name. Of course, maybe the authors don't WANT their names on the covers, I don't know. Still, seems a rather strange decision.

It's actually quite common for YA novels to put the marketing into the title rather than the author. But there is a name on the cover: check out how tiny the author's name is on the back cover. Keep looking. Keep looking. Hilarious!

is anyone going to read this series? I got book one on my nook.:rommie::vulcan:

I just read the Delta Anomaly and The Edge, and loved both books! They very much felt like the new Trek movie, with a focus on a fun adventure with a theme that audiences can relate to.

I have found recent adult Trek novels quite grim ... full of war, violence, destruction, characters going through intense psychological traumas, etc. ... much darker in themes that the Trek I remember back in the the days of TOS and TNG.

This book series brings back the fun of exploration and humour that were key parts of the new movie, and the classic series that it was based on. I found both stories refreshing, a lot of fun, but still with a theme! I thoroughly recommend these books to fans of the movie and TOS!:)

I have both of them on my nook and will read them . currently reading st : tng : death in winter. then onto starfleet academy series.

it looks like the series will extend to five books or more.

currently reading STAR TREK ENTERPRISE DAEDALUS next DAEDALUS'S CHILDREN

book three of the series is ready for pre order on the nook and so is book four.

that's cool if you get around to them they are pretty good espically the second book.

I looked at the new academy books and completed blanked them for some reason. I may end up downloading them for holiday as i tend to buy e-books now only because they save room.

that is why I got a nook my physical library has over taken my room. need space so I got a nook. I plan to get a nook colour this fall.
