I wonder which EMH it will be. The one we saw mostly on the show or the one who was stuck in that museum in the future but eventually left to go back home. I assume they will also explain why he looks older due to the actor being older.

That's true. But he then spent many years living on that planet as well before finally make the choice to go home. One thing that does kind of work is The Burn does sort of explain why those aliens never made contact again with the Federation on all of those years.

Well we don't know for sure which EMH it will be I think. Heck they could even through us a loop and have it be one we never saw before. I doubt they would do that though.

My prediction is Daniels had the EMH's holomitter on one of his shelves and was dusting it one day only to activate The Doctor on accident, and he is like "What The Heck. This old relic still works."

I love the Voyager Doctor, but he wasn't enough to get me to tolerate Prodigy and he won't get me to watch the teen angst Disco spinoff.

He's an artificial life-form whose memory is computer files. He could decide to merge himself.

I was never excited about the academy idea in its various reincarnations, but if EMH is going to be there it suddenly got a lot more interesting.
