News Starfleet Academy Coming to P+

Not in a teacher-student context. And what about the attention part?

Students not respecting their teachers is not normal. Doesn't matter if it's a civilian or, in this case, a military context.
Maybe it is in postmodern Western societies (and specially in certain problematic communities). In most parts of the world, societies have a very different attitude towards respect.
Trying to normalize disrespecting teachers is a sign of larger cultural problems.
Former teacher here...you are absolutely wrong. Deep disrespect by students toward teachers is quite common these days, even with teachers who do all the right things. I don't miss it.

Of course the issue is would Federation students disrespect their teachers. Roddenberry Vision of the future and all that.

I grew up in middle class suburbia in the 70s. Lot of disrespect in the classroom.

I was a good kid and I made a couple of teachers all but tear their hair out with my stubborn refusals to listen to every rule they had.

I was a good kid as well. Granted all my high school teachers also doubled as one of my football or basketball coaches except one who was married to one of the basketball coaches. Then one was the Wrestling coach. Then their was one who was I guess was just a regular teacher and he was one of those teachers that wanted to be hip and cool with the kids. Well also one other who was a older lady.
